Other Activities
  • The Culture Club enlightens our students about the values of Indian Culture. Mr. G. Balaji of The C.P.R. Institute of Indological Research conducts the club.
  • The Eco-Club is conducted by Mrs. Dalia S.
  • Mrs. N. Sudha from The C.P. Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation organises Kindness Kids programs and formed the Kindness Club for students who do good for animals.
  • Mrs. G. Vimala teaches embroidery and needle work to our children.
  • The Nature Club of our school has taken up the task of beautifying the campus. Our school children are encouraged to indulge in gardening. They were also taken to the Blue Cross of India where they were taught to love and care for animals.

We are happy to announce that on April 10 2017, the council has approved and granted ISC affiliation to The Grove School, whereby admissions to Class XI may commence for the next academic year 2017-2018. The Grove School began admissions into Class XI for the new academic year 2017-2018.
Board Exam Results
The Grove School secured 100% pass in the ICSE Class X board exam conducted in March 2017 for the sixth consecutive time. All our students secured first class with distinction which was remarkable. This was achieved due to the dedication of the teachers, and hard work and efforts put in by our students.

School Achievements

  • This academic year, The Grove School was appointed as the ICSE evaluation centre for Sanskrit and the examination centre for The Ashram School ICSE.
  • The Grove School emerged as the overall champions in the interschool competition conducted by GRT Mahalakshmi Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School.
  • As part of The C.P. Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation’s Golden Jubilee Anniversary Celebrations, The Grove School hosted the Golden Jubilee Interschool Chess Championship for the first time. 29 schools participated in the championship.
  • In the Kedar Cricket Academy Tournament that was played between The Grove School and the Kedar Cricket Academy Team, The Grove School won the match.

• The following students secured various places in different competitions conducted by GRT Mahalakshmi Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School:
  • 1) Tejaswini Thota of class VIII secured the first position in Word Wizard.
  • 2) N. Madhushree and Meera Anand of class X secured the first position in Dumb Charades.
  • 3) Manish Aniruddha and Vasisht Vasudevan of classes IX and X respectively, secured the first position in Level II Sudoku.
  • 4) Dev Kartik Surana and P. Adwaith of classes IX and X respectively secured second position in Pick One’s Brain.
  • 5) S. Tharun and V. Vijay Karthik of class VII secured second place in level I Sudoku.

• The following students won the award of excellence:

• The following students won gold medals:

  • Divya Shree Ram and Bhagya Shree Ram of class VII secured the first prize in the district level group singing contest, conducted by the Rotary Club.
  • Divyashree Ram of class VII secured the third prize in the story telling contest conducted by The Hindu.
  • At the Cyber Olympiad, Vasisht Vasudevan (Class X) secured the 23rd zonal rank and gold medal of excellence in International Sports Knowledge Olympiad. S. Tarun (Class VII) secured the 73rd zonal rank in International Sports Knowledge Olympiad and emerged as the school topper in the same.
  • Shalini H of class VII secured the second prize in Bushoryu National Karate Championship.
  • S. Adithi of class VI secured the 2nd place in the under 7 category Karate competition conducted by the State Open Karate Championship.
  • M. Santhosh of class II won a gold medal for Karate (Yellow belt).
  • R.S. Sivaniyaazhl of class I and G.V. Kritha of class III won the first prize in the interschool fancy dress competition conducted by St. John’s Public School.
  • Sushmashree of class VI was awarded the championship Brain O Brain trophy conducted by the Kids Academy. Jayaprajith of LKG won a gold medal and Reshmi S of class IV won the silver medal.
  • M. Jai Sabareesh of class II won a gold medal in the National Brain O Brain competition.
  • Aditya R of class X participated in a non-ranking tennis tournament held by Sports India and won a cup for making it up to the quarter-finals. His current ranking is 1146 in tennis at all India level.
  • V.S. Kanishka of UKG secured the first place in the Gita chanting competition conducted by Chinmaya Mission.
  • Akshita Meenakshi A of LKG won the 2nd and 1st prizes in group races 1 and 2 respectively in the Under 4 district level skating competition.
  • Harshad M of UKG won the 3rd place in the First State Level Karate Championship 2017, in the under 6 category.
  • The Grove School represented by Mohit Mehta (Class IX), C.T. Muruhappan (Class IX), Abhinav P. Panchal (Class VIII), Aditya Srikandan (Class VIII), Khoushik J.J (Class VII), Samik J (Class VII), Tharun S (Class VII), Yuvith V (Class VII), Dhruv .P. Panchal (Class VI), Hussain Rashid (Class VI),Y.L. Kanishk Jain (Class VI), S. Rohit (Class VI), M.S. Roshan (Class VI), V. Rupesh Kumar (Class VI) & M.S. Yuvandhar (Class IV), beat Kedar Cricket Academy and won the Kedar Cricket Academy Tournament.
We also wish to highlight the achievements of this academic year: 2016The Students of class VIII were taken on an educational trip to the Netherlands Consulate by Mrs. Punitha. They were oriented about the relationship between Netherlands and India and the role of the consulate was elaborated.2017
HIGHLIGHTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS OF 2016 – 2017

We are happy to highlight the achievements of The Grove School from June 1, 2016 upto May 31, 2017.
June 14 In recognition of the World Environment Day (which was on June 5) and the Swachh Bharath initiative, students of class X participated in a street cleaning event held at Sannidhi Street. June 21 International Yoga Day was celebrated by all the students of The Grove School. The highlight of the event was a mass Yoga demonstration where all the students demonstrated various beneficial asanas in unison.
June 25 The Students of classes IX and X were taken on a field trip to the Blue Cross of India.
July 5
July 19 Guru Poornima was celebrated at The Grove School where the students presented a series of programmes to honour the teachers.
July 26 “Fun Brain Puzzles”, an inter house Maths quiz competition was organised by Mrs. Shanmugavalli where students from classes IV and V participated. The Tulsi team emerged as the winners followed by the Peepal team as the runners up.
August 24 Annual sports day was conducted at the YMCA ground, Nandanam. The chief guest for the day was our former Principal and now school management committee member, Mrs. Kala Doraisamy. Various field and track events were conducted for both junior and senior students. It was an eventful day with many nail biting events. Neem House emerged the winners.
September 2 Ganesh Chathurthi was celebrated aesthetically. It was noteworthy to witness the students trying to bring in a change pragmatically by creating eco–friendly Vinayaka idols by themselves using earthen clay.
October 3 to 7 The Navratri celebrations at The Grove School wore a festive look with decorated idols beautifully arranged in seven steps. Children sang shlokas and bhajans every day. The Grove School thanks the parents for donating beautiful idols which added more festivity to the celebrations.
October 15 The C.P. Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation upon completing 50 glorious years celebrated her Golden Jubilee Year with former Chief Justice of India, Mr. T.S. Thakur as chief guest. Mrs. Reena Gupta compered for the function. The Grove School students gave an invocation song to welcome the gathering. The staff members had the privilege to attend the function and celebrate this happy occasion.
November 12 The interschool Sanskrit drama competition based on the theme “Shakespeare” was conducted by The C.P. Ramaswami Aiyar foundation, and The Grove School emerged as the winner.
November 26 The Grove School conducted “The Golden Jubilee Interschool Chess Championship Tournament” as a part of the golden jubilee celebrations of the foundation. 29 schools participated.
December 15 Christmas was celebrated in a grand manner which reflected the joy of togetherness and sharing.
January 13 Pongal was celebrated with a variety of entertainment programmes by the students from The Grove School. Traditional sweet pongal was distributed to all the students towards the end of the program.
February 3 The Annual day was celebrated in a grand manner. The theme was William Shakespeare who passed away 400 years ago in 1616. The chief guest for the event was Mrs. M.S. Jayasri, Principal of Sir Sivaswami Kalalaya Senior Secondary School.
February 10 Pre-KG to Class II Annual day was celebrated with a variety of entertainment programs like actions, songs, yoga, music, plays and dances of different states.
March 26 In the Kedar Cricket Academy tournament that was played, The Grove School beat Kedar Cricket Academy and emerged victorious.
April 10 The Grove School received approval from the council to commence admissions into Class XI for the new academic year 2017-2018
